Program Overview

The Study Abroad Program is designed to facilitate overseas students in undertaking both undergraduate and postgraduate units, enabling them to earning credits towards their home award.

This flexible program empowers students to curate a personalised, short-term study plan by selecting and combining units aligned with their individualised academic and personal objectives.

As they engage in this immersive Australian experience, students not only enhance their academic pursuits but also develop invaluable intercultural competencies, contributing significantly to their professional journey.

The program allows students to enrol in 3 to 8 units from any undergraduate or postgraduate course. Engaging in 3 to 8 study blocks, each lasting 4 weeks, with 10 intake opportunities yearly.

What you will learn

Course Structure

  • The Study Abroad Program is available for international students to enrol in 3 to 8 units (equivalent to 30 to 80 credit points) from any undergraduate or postgraduate program.
  • This program runs over 3 to 8 study block periods, each lasting 4 weeks.
  • Students can study a minimum of 3 units and a maximum of 8 units.
  • We offer the flexibility of 10 intakes per year.

Assessment

Your studies with us will encompass practical, professionally focused, and project-based learning, so assessment types will vary. You can expect them to include (the list is not exhaustive):

We provide a range of undergraduate and postgraduate level subjects to students each year. Prospective applicants should view the units offerings for all courses for current availability.

Entry Requirements

Academic Requirements

  • Have completed at least 6 months full-time study of a qualification at an equivalent AQF level* or higher than the proposed units of study, with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 out of 7 (or equivalent), or
  • Meet the entry criteria for an AIH course in which the proposed units are available for study.

*  AIH will use the Australian Department of Education’s Country Education Profiles (CEP) for assessing overseas qualifications.

English Language Proficiency (ELP) Requirements

  • AQF 7 and AQF 8 units: Academic IELTS with overall band score of 6.0 (no band less than 5.5) or equivalent.
  • AQF 9 units: Academic IELTS with overall band score of 6.5 (no band less than 6.0) or equivalent.
