On Wednesday, September 18, we welcomed representatives from Beaumont People, Amber and Erin, who conducted an insightful and practical workshop focused on enhancing employability skills for students.
The workshop, attended by approximately 40 students from a diverse range of courses including Accounting, Business, and Information Systems, provided valuable tips and strategies on key topics such as resume and cover letter writing, interview techniques, and effective job search methods.
The session was designed to be highly interactive, with students actively participating in Q&A sessions and engaging in role-playing scenarios to practice their newly acquired skills. The hands-on approach not only reinforced the learning but also provided a platform for students to clarify doubts and receive personalised feedback from the experts.
At the conclusion of the workshop, students were treated to a lunch in the Student Centre, where Amber and Erin remained available for further discussions. This informal setting allowed students to receive more personalised advice and feedback, ensuring they left the session well-prepared and confident to embark on their job search journey.
Thank you to Beaumont People for their continued support and dedication to student development. Workshops like these are instrumental in equipping our students with the practical skills and confidence needed to succeed in today’s competitive job market.
